1) Today is the 17th Sunday of the year.

2) Monday 26th July is the feast of St Joaquim and Anne. In our diocese we celebrate this day as 'Parents Day'. The parish will celebrate parent's day on Sunday, 1st August. Passes for parent's day, priced at Rs 100 each, are available in the compound, after the Saturday evening mass and after the 8, 9 and 10 am mass and also after the Sunday evening Mass. Passes are also available with your SCC coordinator or in the parish office. The programme which is inclusive of dinner will begin at 7. 45 pm in the Church Hall. No passes will be sold next weekend.

3) Saturday 31st July is the feast of St Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits.

4) The fathers of the parish will be visiting the following buildings on Monday 26th July, between 7.30pm-9.30 pm; Lou Franca, Laxmi, Loiusa, Excella, Diamond Arch, AGD, and Lily Apartments.

5) The next Pre-Baptism Course will be held tomorrow / today, 25th July 2010 from 7.00pm to 8.30 pm in the Parish Office.

6) A limited number of copies of the Carmel Chimes are available for Parishioners and others who have not received the same; please find these placed at the side entrance of the Church.

7) We plan to revive our parish Family Cell. Couples and individuals who desire to be members of the cell may meet Fr Warner for details.

8) Since last year, the Andrean Cultural Committee has been partnering with parishes in Bandra for the promotion of music and arts. Mt Carmel Church partners with the South West zone for the annual zonal contest. The talent contest will take place on the 22nd and 29th August and 4th and 5th September 2010 at St Andrews auditorium. The categories include individual vocal and instrumental, duets, quartets and chorals, Duo and group dance and dramatics. Those who wish to take part may pick up a form from the parish office or contact Fr Warner. Please submit the completed forms to the parish office. Details of the contests are on the notice board.

9) We have been making regular announcements at mass regarding LACC meetings and ALM activities. We are now glad to inform you that a group of ALM leaders have come together as one umbrella organization called HELM (Heads of ALM). For the betterment of civic consciousness and action, we request you to please co operate with these leaders as they visit your buildings. For details please see the website, www.helm.org.in
